While I am sat here trying to ease the pain I must reflect on yesterday and ask how did I get sub burn?!

I did put sun cream on and I was very cautious about how much to put on but still I am sun burn.

Praise the lord that it is cloudy today as I am in agony. The other issue I have is to try and relieve the pain by getting a cold shower but the only temperature they have is hot. Which makes it appear that my skin is on fire on the backs of my legs.

Dame you milk bottle White. Anyway we are heading off to a water park today that should ease some of my pain I think.

Anyone got a remedy that will get rid of sun burn????

Well here we are in Devon.

We are at present down the beach and I am tanning along nicely. When I say tanning along nicely I mean as in going from milk bottle White to red.

Anyway at 3.45am the car was packed and we set off to meet gaz philippa and ste. To be honest it was that early that not even the traffic signals had been turned on yet.

Anyway quick journey to gaz and philippas and then we were off on the five and a hour drive to Paignton in devon. The drive down was the easiest one I think I have ever done as there was nothing On the road.

We have been down the beach for the last hour after putting the tents up. The weather is tremendous and I think that this will be brilliant holiday.

Anyway question for you?

Why the hell would you take a tent to the beach. Ok yes it is an idea but the amount of time it took them to put together. It’s not worth the hassle.

It was like watching the chuckle brothers put it together.

Last week I brought me dad down for a week with his two cats. The cats had to stay at seo rocks house as my missus is elurgic to cats.

Well yoda the bugger of the two got out and vanished for 8 days without a trace. We have looked a few times but sign of her.

So last night we created posters to put in local newsagents. This evening I was going to go round but them all and hand in posters.

BUT

Today as though she had not gone missing she was found half asleep in the living room on her normal perch.

Well who cares anyway. She has returned safe and sound.

I am present sat in wythenshawe hospital writing this post out of sheer boredom and puzzlement.

We have come to this hospital twice in three days and both so far have been disasterous.

First visit – pointless excercise

With us being away for a number of days over Easter to see family and friends we had a mountain of post including a letter From the nhs.

The letter was a well structured thing that told us to ring asap but not to worry. Basically we were asked to go to hospital as there was a small facial fracture found that needed checking and management.
So we went down and arrived at about 6:30pm. We waited for a while to see a doctor. As the hospital was busy that day we were there a while but we were seen. The doctor was the only one on duty and she had to make sure she saw everyone and treated to any emergencies as well. We had no problem as we wondered why it was an emergency why we were there.

Anyway the doc did her job by just checking the person over and doing all the check for head trama. The doc at about 21:20 said that she would get a nurse to allow her to go home. We then waited a further hour for the nurse to arrive just to tell us that we could could of gone home an hour earlier.

No wonder the hospitals rake it in from the car parks.

Second Visit – Pointless Exercise Number two

We are both really puzzled by this as we had to wait about yesterday all day waiting for a phone call from the hospital.

But no call came.

We were then woken up the next day at about 8ish in the morning to ask if we could get to the hospital within 20 minutes to see a surgeon. As we were told we got ready and we made our way to the hospital. When we got there we got placed into a room where people were called in groups.

Anyway we waited there for about an hour before I went to ask how long we could be there for. The receptionist said it could be all day. I explained that we were told to be here early to get straight in but they advised we should of been told that we could of been there all day. Anyway another hour went past before they called our name. We saw the surgeon who said immediately that there was a fracture to the face and that there were signs of concussion. Once he looked at the face he said we will have to wait 6 months before they may have to operate to get the floating bit of bone. The Surgeon said that this should of been seen to after 4 days not 10, which was annoying as we were told originally that the black eye and cut below the eye was the only damage done. The surgeon seemed puzzled to why we had been brought in 10 days after the event when we should of been brought in early. The surgeon did not say tell us this but you could tell that was what he was thinking.

All in all the visits were pointless. I think I have spent more time waiting to be seen than actually been seen.

A prime example of the NHS not needing to actually see someone for a appointment where they can just say this over the phone.
