I stumbled upon the fast company influence project last night.

I must admit that I am very taken aback by this concept and was puzzled to see how it works. I thought that it would use your name and create an influence rating from search traffic that you have created.

Instead this website tracks a defined URL that you are given at when you register for the influence project. Basically you have to create traffic to his URL and get your rankings higher and higher.

My thoughts to be honest are that yes it is a brilliant idea to see who the influential force of 2010. However could this not be classed as a brilliant link baiting exercise that will only make the fast company become a bigger brand.

I mean to be honest this URL that is provided can only be used in conjunction with the website and will not be linked to any other social media resource, such as twitter or Facebook.

I really think that this would work better if it was able to take precious weary results and get a better influence rating.

Even though I am picking faults with this I am still going to complete this project to see how much influence I can place upon people out there.

So here is my personal influencer.

I decided that today’s blog would be solely from my iPhone 4. I was going to do a blog post about the iPhone, talking about good features and how much I like wordpress. I was going to produce a post that would show some apps and what can be done. Basically you don’t need a computer for basic posts and content writing anymore.

But whilst searching for an appropriate iPhone picture I stumbled across the picture at the ass of the post. Now this stopped in my blogging tracks and made me do this instead.

I decided about three weeks ago to jump on the iPhone band wagon. I was the cost. They are much cheaper now and alot more efficient.

Anyway I decided to get some good apps that would allow me to do posts on my phone when I am not in the reach of my Mac. So this posts is from my phone and the next image at the bottom is too.
